Base directory error message where directory does not exist is slightly misleading

Description

When specifying base directory using the --base-directory parameter
and the directory does not exist, we get the message

```
Unable to create logging directory /some/random/dir/that/does/not/exist/logs. Node will now shutdown.
```

it should read

```
the specified base directory /some/random/dir/that/does/not/exist/logs does not exist. The Node will now shutdown.
